Founded by Dr Pooya Beigi. SkinAxi was founded on a simple conviction: skin medicine deserves an institution that sets the standard, advances the science, teaches the field, and earns the world’s trust.
Who is Dr. Pooya Beigi?
Dr. Pooya Beigi (Pooya Khan Mohammad Beigi), MD is a Dermatologist and Dermatology Surgeon (London, UK) and the Founder/President of the Misdiagnosis Association and Research Institute (MARI) and Mismedicine Organization and Research Institute, both located in Beverly Hills, California, USA.
He has also been a Clinical Research Fellow at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, BC, Canada) since 2010 and the President/Owner of the NWM Medical Clinic (Canada). and the Founder/CEO of Father Medical Charity (Vancouver, BC, Canada), which were established in 2012 and 2011, respectively.
Founder of MARI (Misdiagnosis Association and Research Institution) Group
Dr. Beigi established MARI in 2012, as the first comprehensive academic research organization specifically focused on misdiagnosis, malpractice, error in treatment and overall error in healthcare and medicine. “MARI” is the first and leading non-profit organization with the aim of collecting and preparing the most comprehensive databases of misdiagnosis and error-in-medicine cases and conducting related medical research studies, in collaboration with healthcare organizations, universities, clinics, professors and physicians from all around the world.
Founder of Father Medical Charity
He founded Father Medical Charity with the goal of helping patients in need, especially those in underdeveloped countries. This Charity collaborates with physicians and nurses employed in underdeveloped countries, who identify patients in need and then refer them to this medical charity to facilitate further communication with the respective healthcare professionals for patients to undergo diagnosis and obtain the necessary medications for their treatment.

He is the author of several books in the medical research field, which include Acrodermatitis Enteropathica; A Clinician’s Guide (2015), A Clinician’s Guide to Mycosis Fungoides (2016), A Clinician’s Guide to Pemphigus Vulgaris (2016), A Clinician’s Guide to Psoriasis (2019), and A Clinician’s Guide to Alopecia Areata (2017).
